Mauracher commented upon the completion of her first Training CD for Software Cinema. On March 14, 2003, Heidi succumbed to cancer. All who knew her, all who were inspired by her, will miss her dearly.
I have just been asked by the family to inform you that Heidi Mauracher passed away this afternoon (Friday 3/14/04) with (her fiance) Jim by her side. She was surrounded
by love and she is now at peace. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. They made her smile.

A funeral mass was held Thursday, March 20, 2003 at St. Joseph's Church, Carpinteria attended by about 200 family members, friends, colleagues, and clients.
A reception and celebration of Heidi's life followed at the Mauracher family ranch
