Here's what our speaker Bob Davis has in store for us in his program titled, Master Your Craft: "Become a seeker of light and realize your potential.
I will share how I practice, practice, practice to hone my skills to create the light on want on location using small on camera strobes. By becoming a seeker of light and utilizing these simple lighting
techniques you will be able to create the light you want in any shooting situation. I am like a pro athlete; I practice my skills, so when the big shots comes I'm prepared. The better your quality,
the higher your potential for career opportunities."
After attending Columbia College in Chicago, Bob began working full-time in the field of photojournalism. He spent 14 years as an award-winning
photographer at the Chicago Sun-Times. Bob Davis is a founding member and chief photographer for Bella Pictures, the first national wedding photography company, based in Chicago. He has helped
to develop and recruit the photographers for this organization, with over 500 professionals photographing weddings throughout the country. He also branches out with la Storia foto for his
commercial, editorial and advertising work. He also does work for several publications such as Time, People, Business Week and other national magazines. His clients include Oprah Winfrey, Chicago
Mercantile Exchange and Draft Worldwide Advertising. He was commissioned to work on the America 24/7 book, which was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and was a New York Times Best Seller. To round out
his portfolio, Bob and his wife Dawn created la Storia foto in 2005, primarily photographing high-end weddings and portraits. His accolades include Canon Explorer of Light and Best in Category
award winner of PDN's 2007 Top Knots Wedding Photography Contest.
