Welcome to Golden Gate School of Professional Photography!
"Learning is like rowing upstream: not to advance is to drop back.",
a Chinese proverb says. Like it or not, this holds true for your photography and business skills as well, even if they're used regularly. Fortunately, learning at Golden Gate School is much more fun than
rowing upstream (at least for the not-so-athletic ones like myself).
This year classes will again cover a variety of exciting topics, and the toughest question might well be, which one to pick. Golden Gate
School offers a unique atmosphere of sharing and camaraderie which can benefit you for month and years to come. This year Golden Gate School moves back to its original location on the San Francisco peninsula: the
campus of Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA. All our rooms, classes, social and dorm rooms, will be in one building, which will further enhance the personal and creative nature of the school.
I'm very excited about this, as well as about the instructor list, which has been filled with celebrated names from past years as well as with newer discoveries. (No rowing coaches are scheduled to appear, but a
few people with solid sailing expertise are expected to mingle in the social areas.)
